Ain't it Cool News:  It is here where you will find out about all that is cool within the industry. The site editor covers scripts, casting, pre-production, production, post-production, test screenings, marketing, and the release of the films.

BlackFilm.com:  Is an online resource which links the Black film community while cultivating national and international audiences interested in their work. This site provides a forum for filmmakers, scholars and organizations to present information and promote artistic expression.

California State University, Long Beach:  The Department of Film and Electronic Arts believes that theory informs practice and that practice refines theory. To that end the department offers two options for majors; one in critical theory including the history of film, the other in the production.

Coming Soon:  Just as the name implies - a great resource to find out what's coming out, when, and what the movie is all about.

Entertainment Weekly Online:  News, reviews and celebrity interviews.  Offering two free issues.

E! Online:  Is the number-one entertainment Website, providing the latest daily news and celebrity inside information in a fun, irreverent tone. E! Online presents up-to-the-minute entertainment news, original features, gossip, reviews, games, and live-event coverage.

Film Scouts:  An independent site featuring original multimedia programming, movie trailers and stills, festival coverage, celebrity interviews, useful information, humour, reviews, and commentary.

Filmmaker Forum:  Huge message board, well populated and always interesting.

Hollywood Reporter, The:  HR has recently added a significant amount of content and services. The site's organization now reflects the horizontal nature of the Reporter's coverage, with separate home pages dedicated to major beats such as Film, Television, International and Music. News, data and features are integrated, making it easier for users to access the materials they want.

Industry Central:  The Motion Picture and Television Industry Professional's First Stop! Industry News and information, Comprehensive Searchable Database of MP/TV Links, Writers' Exchange, Discussion Board, Classifieds, and Chat.

International Documentary Association:  The IDA was founded in 1982 as a non-profit membership organization dedicated to supporting the efforts of non-fiction film and video makers throughout the United States and the world; promoting the documentary form; and expanding opportunities for the production, distribution, and exhibition of documentary. The IDA is committed to continuing its efforts to increase public appreciation and demand for documentary films, videos, and television programs across all ethnic, political and socioeconomic boundaries.

Nielsen EDI:  A global leader in measurement, information and research solutions for the motion picture industry. Their tools provide up-to-the minute box office information around the globe, in real time, on an hourly basis. Nielsen EDI has served the motion picture community for over 25 years.

Video University Community Forums:  These forums are a free service of Video University. Their mission is to share knowledge, promote understanding and build a community of film and video friends.

Classic Movie Scripts:  Scripts and Transcripts to Classic Movies (and others) made before 1970.

Daily Script, The:  A collection of movie scripts and screenplays to serve as a resource for writers and actors and those who simply enjoy reading movie scripts. The movie scripts are presented in proper script format (for the most part) and where possible, multiple drafts are presented.

Drew's Script-O-Rama:  Large repository of finished scripts, and a lot more from this updated site.

Internet Movie Script Database:  If you enjoy movies you've come to the right place, this site has  the biggest collection of movie scripts available anywhere on the web. IMSD lets  you read or download movie scripts for free.

Movie World:  Impressive script library.

On-Line Horror and Suspense:  Excellent selection of genre specific scripts.

Planet MegaMall:  All scripts are photocopies of legitimate drafts in industry format (no transcriptions, no downloads) and are bound with cardstock covers and 2 brass brads with washers. Copy quality varies, especially with age, but all are readable.

Source, The:  An Australian library of spec scripts. Also offering resources for packaging and links to international writers guilds and other resources.

Screenplay 451:  All of the listed screenplays are formatted, zipped and ready to go. Also offered is a monthly newsletter.

Script Shack, The:  A great collection of scripts. But if they haven't got it, they'll get it for you.

Shades of Day:  This site is dedicated to independent film and video making. "Shades of Day" develops and produces quality films  based on original stories and the masterpieces of the world literature dealing with a variety of contemporary issues often neglected by the mainstream cinema.

Stained Iris Productions:  A Hollywood based Production Company specializing in socially conscious films and bridging the gap between studio and independently produced projects.

Unknown Productions:  An independent movie production with distribution from Cinematrix releasing, giving the world another entertainment choice.

Canyon Cinema:  The world's largest and most prestigious distributor of independently produced avant-garde and experimental films.

Carfax Abbey:  This horror film database, offering information on hundreds of films, thousands of actors and directors, as well as a picture gallery.

European Cinema Online Database:  The cinema industry in Europe has a highly complex make-up, reflecting the cultural and expressive diversity of individual nations. If, on the one hand, the quantitative production levels of Europe's cinema industry have remained high (at roughly 600 full-length features a year, on a par with the United States), on  the other hand the Old World shows distinct weaknesses in respect of promotion and distribution.

Forum For The Psychoanalytic Study of Film, The:  Is an international interdisciplinary organization that is open to everyone.
